On January 8, 2024, our Senior Associate, Audrey D. Medd, Esq. had the honor of presenting an educational class to the members, staff and employees of Connecticut Craft Breweries at the Connecticut Brewer’s Guild 2024 Convention. The class, entitled “Business Law for Breweries,” focused on three areas of law significant to the craft brewing industry: Contract Law, with a focus on operating agreements; Labor and Employment Law, with a focus on discrimination in the workplace and Tort Law with a focus on premises liability and dram shop actions. The class received rave reviews from brewers, members and employees all commenting on how they were going to make their breweries a better and safer place. Attorney Medd, who is a beer connoisseur was quoted as saying: “It was a profound and humbling experience, to have my two passions (law and beer) come together so seamlessly.”
