The plaintiff in the case was driving westbound on Old Country Road in Carle Place when she claimed the defendant, who was heading eastbound on Old Country Road, made a sudden left turn in front of her vehicle. The defendant denied making a left turn, noting that the plaintiff veered into her lane of traffic and hit her vehicle as she was waiting for the plaintiff to pass her. The plaintiff claimed that she sustained a meniscal tear of left knee with arthroscopic surgery as a result of the accident, but the jury rejected that claim.
